Carol Ann Hunsucker, 66, of Seymour passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 12, 1956, in Seymour, the daughter of the late Olen and Doris (Schmidt) Chandler.

Carol is survived by two sons, Scott (Kim) Hunsucker of Columbus, IN and Andrew Joseph Hunsucker of College Station, PA, her Miniature Schnauzer Charlie; one brother, Randall Chandler; one sister, Linda M. (Robert) Emily; and a Niece Elisabeth (George) Tatom.

In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Emily.

Carol worked in the Human Services office for many years as an office manager in Columbus before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, animals, and was an avid bird watcher, especially the cardinals and blue jays. She had a big heart and cared deeply for others and could carry on a conversation with anyone. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

A memorial service for Carol will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Voss and Sons Funeral Home in Seymour with Rev. William Freedstrom officiating. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
