The Seymour Community School Corp. board of education will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Seymour Central Service Center, 1420 Corporate Way.

The meeting will include the consent agenda, communications and recognition, donations and grants and an update on the school construction projects.

Emily Engelking from Jackson County United Way will speak. Then audience and school board communications will be heard.

Action items are Edgenuity evening program, BCALM & FIT LLC agreement with Seymour High School, Southern Indiana Sports Mall agreement for use of facilities and equipment and a memorandum of understanding with Child Care Network for before- and after-school and preschool programs.

First read items include school improvement plans and evaluation plan, school auction and SHS change in programming Oct. 24.

The last order of business is the 2024 budget, including education fund, operations fund and all remaining plans and funds along with permission to advertise the budget and plans (notice of proposed school budget hearing 7 p.m. Sept. 26 and notice of proposed school budget adoption at 7 p.m. Oct. 10).

The meeting is open to the public and press.

At 6 p.m., the board will meet in executive session, which is closed to the public and press.
