Schneck Hospice offering GriefShare program

Schneck Hospice is hosting GriefShare, a 13-week free program open to anyone who is coping with a loss.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

Topics will include living with grief, the journey of grief, the effects of grief, your family and grief and the uniqueness of grief.

Seminars feature video sessions and discussion. You will gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to finding joy again.

“In our fast-paced society, I believe it is imperative for us to take time to grieve,” said Stephen Barrett, Schneck Hospice chaplain. “Being with others that have had similar experiences can be extremely healing. This program is designed to be a place of hope and healing for those whose lives have been broken.”

The GriefShare program is being held in three locations in Seymour:

The Point, 311 Myers St., 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays Aug. 24 to Nov. 16

First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays Aug. 15 to Nov. 7

Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 N. Ewing St., 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays Aug. 22 to Nov. 14

To register or for information, call 812-523-4879. Registration is not required but preferred. Feel free to attend any or all sessions.
