Library offering teen and adult programs

The Jackson County Public Library is offering programs for teens and adults in August.

Adults can learn to create a macramé feather at 4 p.m. Aug. 10 in Seymour, at 2 p.m. Aug. 18 in Crothersville or at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 24 in Medora.

Registration is required by Aug. 8 with a limit of 15 in Seymour, by Aug. 14 with a limit of 10 in Crothersville and by Aug. 17 with a limit of 10 in Medora.

See what the buzz is about with beginner beekeeping at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Seymour Library. Local farmer Stephanie Strothmann from Purple Shamrock Farm will lead the discussion. Registration is required by Aug. 11.

The True Crime Club will discuss cold case theories at 5 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Seymour Library. Register with an email by noon that day to receive the case information before the program.

Programs for teens ages 12 to 19 will meet in the Seymour Library meeting room unless otherwise noted.

Code.Create.& Explore Club will meet at 5 p.m. Aug. 4. All levels of creators are welcome. Registration is required by Aug. 2 with a limit of 15 people.

Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to join the Discord server at 4 p.m. Aug. 17 to participate in Skribbl.io.

Stress Less is at 5 p.m. Aug. 22. Attendees will enjoy relaxing stations to relieve the back-to-school tension. Registration is required by Aug. 21 with a limit of 15.

Participants will taste test flavors of Skittles while blindfolded at 5 p.m. Aug. 29. Registration is required by Aug. 28 with a limit of 15.
