“Downtown Rescue” is a book written and illustrated by Nate Otte, an optometrist in Seymour.

A special book signing event is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Dr. Nate Optometrist, 314 S. Chestnut St., Seymour.

The signing will be for the “Downtown Rescue” book written and illustrated by Nate Otte that was published through a 2023 Leadership Jackson County project.

His dog, Bradshaw, will autograph the books. People can purchase a book for a donation of $5 or more to benefit Red Sky Rescue.

After the book signing, plan to follow the scavenger hunt around downtown Seymour.
