The Point hosting Summer Jam next week

If you have children who just completed preschool through fifth grade, Point Kids children’s ministry at The Point invites your family to come to the free Summer Jam event.

It will be from 5 to 8 p.m. July 17 to 19 at the church, 311 Myers St., Seymour.

Summer Jam will highlight the summer theme from the Point Kids Sunday morning programming, which has been “Ready, Set, Move.” Through this theme and at Summer Jam, kids will be inspired to follow Jesus here, there and everywhere.

Dinner will be provided from 5 to 5:45 p.m. with lawn games and inflatables so families can socialize. Each night will be a different type of experience for the whole family.

Summer Jam will wrap up July 19 with a performance by Brad Brown, an internationally known Christian magician. He also has a heart for ministry, so he combines his side-splitting comedy and mind-blowing magic to engage and entertain audiences while clearly presenting gospel truth. Based out of northern Kentucky, he performs across the country and around the world, delighting crowds with his magic shows.

If you register and attend Summer Jam each night, there will be a grand prize drawing that will include a year family membership pass to the Indianapolis Zoo and other fun surprises.

Families wishing to check in 1- to 3-year-old toddlers for child care during the event must be registered beforehand and indicate this on the registration form. Child care workers are background checked and trained to serve with Point Kids. The Point Safety Team also will be present to make Summer Jam safe and secure.
