IUPUC announces Express Admission Week July 17-21

Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus will host Express Admission Week from July 17 to 21, providing prospective students with hands-on assistance, campus tours and answers to their questions.

“We are here to help with quick-turnaround applications, discuss enrollment, programs, financial aid, whatever we can do to ease the process,” said Jayne Morris, IUPUC assistant director of enrollment management.

If a student starts their application online but then decides to complete it on campus during Express Admission Week, Morris said they will need to bring their guest account ID (email and password) or their IU account details to access their in-progress application.

All students should bring their Social Security number and a smartphone. A laptop computer or tablet also may be helpful but is not required.

They also should have log-in information to request their high school transcripts electronically (through Parchment or Naviance), an email address that is not a school email and SAT or ACT scores for those who wish to self-report them (not required).

Express Admission Week also is a chance to prepare for next steps, such as taking the math placement exam, attending orientation, meeting with an academic advisor, filling out FAFSA for federal financial aid and learning about scholarship opportunities.

Admitted IUPUC students also are welcome to attend if they have questions or issues or would like one-on-one help with course enrollment.

For walk-in hours, arrive between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. July 17 to 21 and go to the admissions office (located inside Door 3 in the Campus Center Building at 4601 Central Ave.). If those times aren’t convenient, prospective students are welcome to schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor. Virtual and in-person meetings are available.
