The Brownstown Town Council has planned a cleanup day for town residents from 7 to 11:30 a.m. July 15.

The Jackson County Recycling District is working with Rumpke of Indiana to provide trash trucks for the event, which will be held in a vacant lot in the 300 block of South Main Street.

The list of items that won’t be accepted include electronics, such as televisions and computers, household hazardous waste, paint and tires.

Town residents planning to bring their trash for disposal should present proof of town residency, such as a driver’s license or a sewer bill.
