Carroll “Curly” Joseph Haag, 90, of Seymour passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at his residence in Seymour. He was born on December 22, 1932, in Seymour, the son of Lawrence and Rosa (Payne) Haag. On October 10, 1954, he married Rosalyn Rae Wright in Vallonia, IN and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2017.

Survivors include his son, Jeffrey (Sheila) Haag of Seymour; one daughter-in-law, Coleen Haag; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a son, Joseph Haag.

Curly was a 1951 graduate of Seymour High School. He was a proud US Army Veteran who served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, the VFW, and the American Legion Post #89. Curly worked for over forty-five years at Seymour Manufacturing as a Foreman and, in his later years, he worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking care of his horses and goats. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:45 p.m. at Voss & Sons Funeral Home in Seymour. A Funeral Prayer Service of the Resurrection will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
