Robert “Bob” Tatlock, 86, of Crothersville, IN, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis, IN.

Bob was born on Friday, January 15, 1937, in Tampico, IN to Kerry and Marie (Wolf) Tatlock.

Bob was a proud Tampico Bobcat and a 1955 graduate of Tampico High School. After high school, he joined The United States Marine Corps where he was a part of the 3rd Marine Division and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After he returned to civilian life, he became a lineman electrical worker for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers where he installed many substations in the area and retired from there to farm his family homestead.

Bob was a member of the Methodist Church, enjoyed working on and polishing his John Deer Tractors, catfishing at the local rivers, attending the Grassy Fork Volunteer Fire Department Truck and Tractor Pull in Tampico, spending time with friends at the local taverns, and was an avid coon hunter.

On December 30, 1978, in Austin, IN, Bob married G. Jean (Carter) Tatlock in Austin, IN. Jean preceded him in death on July 4, 2010.

Bob is survived by his 2 daughters, Teresa J. (Philip Shepherd) Tatlock Napier of Scottsburg, IN, and Michelle Tatlock Wilkes of Pensacola, FL, 2 stepsons, David Powers of Fishers, IN, and Todd Powers of Muncie, IN, 5 grandchildren, Rene (Jessica) Napier Mattingly of Louisville, KY, Justin Wilkes of St. Louis, MO, Savannah Wilkes of Pensacola, FL, Samuel Wilkes of Pensacola, FL, and Trinity Wilkes of Pensacola, FL, 2 great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, Sharon (Roger) Bond of Norman, IN, and Karen (Greg) Koester of Dudleytown, IN, 2 nephews, Mike (Peggy) Tatlock of Woodlawn, IL, Bill (Mary) Tatlock of Florence, AZ, and several other nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Kerry and Marie (Wolf) Tatlock, his wife of 31 1/2 years G. Jean (Carter) Tatlock, siblings, Helen Harbin, Melvin Tatlock, Gerald Tatlock, Donald Tatlock, half-sister, Doris Lee, daughter, Patricia Tatlock, step-children, Jerry Powers and Brenda Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Crothersville, IN with a burial to follow at Russell Chapel Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Crothersville, IN.
