Phyllis Sue Payne, age 76, passed away at her residence on May 31, 2023 in Ellettsville, Indiana.

Born on October 23, 1946, Phyllis was the daughter of Clifford and Wilma Nowling.

Phyllis was an avid Elvis fan, enjoyed watching western shows on T.V., and spent her Sundays playing bingo.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Justin Payne and James Payne; nieces, Lori, Jennifer, Lacy, Viola and Ashley; and nephew, Jason; and brothers, Dewey Nowling, Colby Nowling, Bill Nowling and Barry Nowling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, boyfriend, Irvin Quick, and daughters-in-law, Deanna Payne, Michelle Payne.

A celebration of life will be held on June 24, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Ellettsville First Baptist Church, 115 S. Sale Street Ellettsville, IN 47429. Pastor Mark Villanova will officiate
