Southern Indiana Flying Eagles is hosting Youth Fly Day from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the organization’s flying field at Freeman Field in Seymour.

Children who want to learn how to fly a remote-controlled airplane are invited to the free event.

Prior to any flying, club members will cover safety precautions and club and airport rules, and an accompanying adult will need to sign a waiver for their child.

Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available. Donations are appreciated but not necessary. There also will be a free raffle to enter.

In the event of bad weather, the event will be conducted June 17.
