The Redding Township Volunteer Fire Department is conducting a pork burger cookout from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Rockford Community Church, 1934 N. Ewing St., Seymour.

A burger meal (pork burger, drink, chips and cookie) will be $8, and a hot dog meal (hot dog, drink, chips and cookie) will be $5. Snow cones from Sno Biz Seymour will be available for an additional purchase.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the fire department.

There also will be a 6-foot fire extinguisher spraying water for the kids to play in, weather permitting. Plus, the fire department will have its Crusade for Children boot out to collect donations for that cause.
