SEYMOUR

Ralph Henry Wischmeier, age 43, a lifelong resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on November 27, 1979 to Robert and Violet (Wessel) Wischmeier of Brownstown, Indiana.

Ralph was a 1998 graduate of Brownstown High School and a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour for over eight years. He believed that Sunday’s were for church and made it a priority to have his kids in church with him, teaching them the value of having a strong relationship with God. He will forever be remembered as an outgoing, fun loving, loyal man that was very family oriented. He loved the outdoors and especially going to state fairs with show mules with his Dad.

He is survived by his parents, one son, Travis Wischmeier, one daughter, Trista Wischmeier, two sisters, Roberta Main and her husband Kevin of Seymour, Indiana and Susan Kaiser and her husband Troy of Seymour, Indiana. His sister-in-law, Anne Wischmeier of Henryville, Indiana. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas B. Wischmeier.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Ralph Blomenberg, Pastor Philip Bloch, Pastor James Rodriguez and Pastor Will Fredstrom officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be directed to the funeral home to be given to the family to begin a college fund for his children.
