Seymour churches invite children to vacation Bible school

First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third St., Seymour, will be the site of a summer kids event called Stellar Vacation Bible School from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 10 to 13.

At Stellar, kids can discover how they can shine Jesus’ love and hope in everyday life. They will be able to participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, make and eat treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible memory buddies to remind them of Jesus’ light and test out sciency-fun gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.

Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God sightings. Each day concludes with a cosmic closing that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 7:40 p.m.

Stellar is for kids from 3 years of age to those going into sixth grade. To register, visit
