Library offering adult and teen programs in June

The Jackson County Public Library is offering a variety of programs for adults in June.

Adult crafters are invited to make an “I’ve Got Sunshine” suncatcher at 4:30 p.m. June 5 at the Seymour Library, 1 p.m. June 8 at the Medora Library and 4 p.m. June 14 at the Crothersville Library. Registration is required by June 1 for Seymour and Medora and June 9 for Crothersville with a limit of 10 for each program.

Yarn crafters are invited to bring their own projects and meet for Yarn Artists’ final two sessions at 2 p.m. June 6 and 20 at the Seymour Library. Volunteer Kathi Linz leads this program.

Learn to save your own seeds at a seed saving workshop at 2 p.m. June 9 in Seymour, 3 p.m. June 15 in Medora and at 1 p.m. June 28 in Crothersville. Registration is required by June 7 in Seymour, June 13 in Medora and June 26 in Crothersville.

Adults interested in following a plant-based diet are invited to learn from Lesley Kendall, Schneck Nutrition Services manager and a registered dietitian. Healthy Eating will be offered at 5:30 p.m. June 21 or at 2 p.m. June 22 at the Seymour Library. Registration is required by June 19 with a limit of 25 per session.

Adults are invited to True Crime Club to discuss cold case theories at 5 p.m. June 26 at the Seymour Library. Register with your email by noon that day to receive the case information before the program.

Programs offered for teens ages 12 to 19 will meet in the Seymour Teen Scene unless otherwise noted.

Code.Create.& Explore Club will be at 5 p.m. June 9. All levels of creators are welcome. Registration is required by June 7 with a limit of 15 registrants.

Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to join the Discord server at 4 p.m. June 15 to play Gartic Phone-virtual telephone.

Tie Dye Tuesday is open to teens in grades 6 to 12 at 5 p.m. June 20. Participants are encouraged to bring their own white T-shirt to dye. Registration is required by June 16 with a limit of 10 registrants.

Teens can use Perler beads to make peace signs at 3 p.m. June 6 in Medora, 3 p.m. June 23 in Crothersville and 5 p.m. June 29 in Seymour. Registration is required by June 1 in Medora, June 14 in Crothersville and June 27 in Seymour with a limit of 10 per session.
