The Crothersville baseball team had its season come to an end on Wednesday night at the Shawe Memorial Sectional as Henryville defeated the Tigers 16-6.
After trailing 5-1, Crothersville scored five runs in the top of the third inning to take a 6-5 lead over the Hornets. Unfortunately, that would be the last time Crothersville would score a run in the game.
Lucas Hilton and Dirk Crater each had two hits, and Beau Napier, Devin Morgan and Corey Reynolds all had one hit.
Crater had two RBI, and Morgan had one RBI.
Hilton pitched four innings and had seven strikeouts.
Crothersville finishes the season with a record of 1-18.
Morgan, Caden Lewis and Hunter Day were the seniors for the Tigers.
