Seymour SEPAC awards two scholarships

The Seymour Special Education Parents Advisory Council recently awarded two scholarships to 2023 Seymour High School graduates.

Karsen Reasoner and Jillian Tormoehlen were each awarded a $500 scholarship.

Reasoner will be entering Indiana University Southeast in the fall and will major in tourism, hospitality and event management. Her extracurricular activities include Seymour Swim Club, varsity swimming, Immanuel Lutheran Church youth group, Jackson County Young Artists’ Theatre workshops, Owl Theatre Co. and Sirenas advanced choir.

Tormoehlen plans to attend Western Kentucky University with a desire to become a veterinarian specializing in large animals. She has participated in band, FFA, 4-H and Redeemer Lutheran Church youth group.

Seymour SEPAC is a nonprofit corporation and has awarded more than $25,000 in scholarships since 1990.
