Seymour Dairy Queen receives PRIDE award

The Dairy Queen store at 316 E. Tipton St. in Seymour recently received a PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence) Award from the Dairy Queen system for achieving a high level of cleanliness and food safety.

The award is given to stores that demonstrate PRIDE by maintaining the Dairy Queen system’s standard of cleanliness and food safety, according to a news release from American Dairy Queen Corp. This is the 13th year for the PRIDE Award, and every restaurant that meets these standards will receive the award.

The award is delivered shortly after the time of the PRIDE assessment visit, which can occur any time throughout the year.

ADQ sent a confirmation of the PRIDE award to be display in the location. The certificate states that their location achieved an Outstanding Cleanliness and Food Safety PRIDE Check by setting up for success, giving the customer a reason to return.

There are more than 6,800 Dairy Queen locations in the United States, Canada and 25 other countries. The Minneapolis, Minnesota-based company is part of the Berkshire Hathaway Inc. companies led by Warren Buffett.
