Mr. James Clifford Gastineau, age 85, of Beechgrove, TN, passed from this life on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Manchester, TN.

Mr. Gastineau was born in Waynesburg, KY, to his late parents James A. Gastineau and Mae Edna Smith Gastineau. He worked as a truck driver for McLean and Yellow Freight for many years. Mr. Gastineau was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served four years overseas in Japan as a spy. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union. Mr. Gastineau was a very generous man who did a lot of good for others in his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mildred Mae Winkler and brother, Arnold Lee Gastineau.

Mr. Gastineau is survived by a son, James C. (Connie) Gastineau II; daughters, Dianna Scruggs and Elisha (Monte) King; brothers, Wayman (Ruby) Gastineau and Loyd Gastineau; sister, Carol Faye Gastineau; grandchildren, Cooper Gastineau, Caley Gastineau, Erica Bryant, Victoria (Luke) Grow, Kathleen Scruggs, Jude King, and Sydney King; seven great grandchildren.

Per Mr. Gastineau’s wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
