Brownstown’s Darlage earns Player of the Week

The Prep Baseball Report named Brownstown Central’s Carson Darlage the Indiana Player of the Week on Monday after his performances on the mound and at the plate last week.

On Saturday against Henryville, Darlage pitched a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts and zero walks. The only reason it wasn’t a perfect game was because he hit two batters.

Behind his pitching performance Saturday, Darlage also had a .600 batting average all of last week.

He went 9-for-15 at the plate with three doubles, eight RBI, one home run and eight runs scored.

Darlage and the Braves are 16-5 on the season and will play three times this week, all on the road. Brownstown is at Mitchell today, at Charlestown on Thursday and at Borden on Saturday.
