Library announces May programs

The Jackson County Public Library is offering programs for teens and adults in May.

Yarn crafters are invited to bring their own projects and meet for Yarn Artists at 2 p.m. May 2 and 16 at the Seymour Library. Led by volunteer Kathi Linz, this new ongoing program will meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

Make a recycled book sunflower at Crothersville Adult Crafts at 4:30 p.m. May 10. Registration is required by May 8.

Adult crafters are invited to make a teacup bird feeder at 5 p.m. May 10 at the Seymour Library. Registration is required by May 8.

Gardeners are invited to a plant swap at the Seymour Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 12 in the library tent. Each participant must have at least one plant to swap, plants must be labeled with the type of plant and care instructions and plants must be pest-free and healthy.

Play a game at Medora Board Games from 2 to 5 p.m. May 18. Bring your favorite game or enjoy one of the library’s games.

Programs offered for teens ages 12 to 19 will meet in the Seymour Teen Scene unless otherwise noted.

Teens are invited to make a Mother’s Day charm at 5 p.m. May 8. Registration is required by May 4.

Code.Create.& Explore Club will be at 5 p.m. May 12 and 26. All levels of creators are welcome. Registration is required by May 10 and 24, respectively.

Teens in grades 6 to 12 are invited to Easy Peasy Cuisiney on May 25 for Donut Touch the Apples! Registration is required by May 23.

Drop In Linner will be from 2 to 5 p.m. May 30 at the Medora Library. Teens are invited to drop in between lunch and dinner to meet Teen Specialist Kristi Gray for snacks and to discuss ideas for future programs.
