How much do you know about trees?

Join the Seymour Department of Public Works on April 28 as it celebrates Arbor Day and Seymour’s recent accomplishment of becoming a Tree City USA community.

An Arbor Day event will start at 6 p.m. at Harmony Park, 751 W. Second St., Seymour. Seymour Mayor Matt Nicholson will deliver a proclamation and talk about the Tree City USA program and what it means for the city.

Patty Brothers Entertainment will then lead a special Arbor Day Trivia Night. Up to six people can be on a team. All ages are welcome, and prizes will be given to the winners.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase from The Brooklyn Pizza Co. and The Seymour Brewing Co.

The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department will be handing out free trees from Vallonia Nursery for people to take home and plant.
