Seymour Community School Corp. has announced the calendar for the 2023-24 school year.

The first teacher day will be Aug. 7, teacher day is Aug. 8 and opening day for students will be Aug. 9.

There will be no school on Sept. 4 for Labor Day, Oct. 18 to 20 for fall break, Nov. 22 to 24 for Thanksgiving break and Dec. 20 to Jan. 5 for Christmas break.

The first day for teachers after Christmas break will be Jan. 5, and students will head back Jan. 8.

There will be no school on Jan. 15 and March 29, but those will be used for snow makeup days if needed.

School also won’t be in session March 18 to 22 for spring break, and April 8 will be an asynchronous eLearning day due to the solar eclipse.

The last day of the school year for students will be May 23, and teachers’ last day is May 24. Graduation for the Class of 2024 is set for June 2.
