Library plans book discussions in April

The Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups will gather to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in April.

Books are available at the library checkout desks or may be available digitally through OverDrive/Libby or hoopla.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will discuss its monthly book at 7 p.m. April 11 at Azul Tequila in Seymour. Information services department staff will lead the review of “The Next Ship Home” by Heather Webb. Attendees should bring money if they plan to eat. Sign up for the program online or when getting the book at the library.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month, will meet in the library meeting room and share thoughts on “The Guest List” by Lucy Foley at 6 p.m. April 19. Circulation Assistant Teresa Black will lead the discussion. The group is open to adults, and there is no attendance requirement.

Fantastic Fiction will meet in the Seymour Library meeting room and discuss “Wild and Precious Life” by Deborah Ziegler at 11 a.m. April 21. Led by circulation department staff, this group meets on the third Friday each month.

The Medora Library discussion group will meet at 5 p.m. April 25 to discuss “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. Circulation Manager Christina Hime leads the group, which meets on the fourth Tuesday each month.
