The Jackson County Commissioners approved the locations for three vote centers for the May 2 Seymour municipal primary election during a meeting Tuesday morning at the courthouse in Brownstown.

County Clerk Piper Acton told commissioners the county election board was recommending three locations to serve as vote centers: Jackson County Public Library at 303 W. Second St., Calvary Baptist Church at 1202 N. Ewing St. and Jackson County Learning Center at 323 Dupont Drive.

Acton said earlier voting will begin April 18 at Jackson County Public Library.

Commissioners voted 3-0 to accept the election board’s recommendation.
