A free community Easter egg hunt is planned for 10 a.m. April 1 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 333 S. Chestnut St., Seymour.

Children up to the age of 12 are welcome to participate.

The church also is hosting an Easter event for children and families called Journey to the Cross from 4 to 6 p.m. April 2.

Are you ready to take your family back in time? Come to Journey to the Cross and experience Easter like never before. You’ll taste, see and even smell what life was like when Jesus was born. You’ll find stations and activities for all ages, so bring the whole family.

At Journey to the Cross, everyone will walk away feeling personally and spiritually impacted. You’ll learn about Jesus’ love and discover that Jesus is alive.

Both events are open to the public.
