Dartball history: The first tournament was held in March 1953. Since there were only five teams in the league, it was decided to hold the tourney at Redeemer with a supper.

All men were to bring a covered dish, while the Redeemer Men’s Club would furnish meats and drinks. The next three years, the tourney was held at Brownstown, Sauers and Immanuel with the host team furnishing the meat and drinks paid by the league.

From 1957 to 1960, the league appointed a committee to organize the refreshments for the tourney. Starting with the 1961 tournament, church organizations were given the chance to serve the meal as a fundraiser for the organization. Zion Ladies Aid was the first to serve the tourney, which they did five times.

Other organizations serving were Dudleytown Martha Society one year, Immanuel Ladies Aid 1 five years, Sauers Ladies Aid one year and Dudleytown Men’s Club two years.

From that time to the present, teams in the league have volunteered their team to serve the tourney. Teams having hosted include Sauers S, Immanuel 3, White Creek S two years, Wegan E three years, Cortland N three years, White Creek N three years, Dudleytown Mets five years and Wegan W 30 years.
