Indiana Youth Institute is offering a Youth Worker Café program on the “REJECT” documentary from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 28 at the Community Foundation of Jackson County, 107 Community Drive, Seymour.

The film takes an in-depth look at the science of social rejection with a solution-oriented focus on the roots of bullying behavior and violent behavior against the self or others.

The screening will be followed by a facilitated discussion about the effects of rejection and ostracism and ways to overcome and prevent violence and tragedy.

All participants will receive copies of the books “The Shame Response to Rejection” by Dr. Herbert E. Thomas and “You Can’t Say You Can’t Play” by Vivian Gussin Paley.
