Hornets win fourth straight

The Medora boys basketball team won its fourth game in a row on Saturday night as the Hornets won at Washington Catholic 62-43.

Shepard Earl led the team in scoring with 19 points, Braxton McCory scored 17, Hudson Johnson 12, Eli Sturgill six, Jaxon Nugen five, Damian Salas four, Dawson Cornett two and Kade Wright two.

Medora is now 9-11 this season with two games to play to potentially get to a .500 record. Medora is at Rising Sun on Friday night and at Union (Modoc) on Saturday night.

Short-handed Tigers fall at Henryville

The Crothersville boys basketball team was without its two leading scorers in Preston West and Curtis Thompson on Saturday at Henryville.

The Tigers struggled to score and fell to the Hornets 58-25.

Crothersville is now 8-12 this season and will close the regular season slate this week at Lanesville on Tuesday and at Austin on Friday.
