Tigers get home win

The Crothersville boys basketball team broke a two-game losing skid on Saturday as the Tigers defeated Columbus Christian 80-65 at home.

Crothersville scored 30 points in the first quarter to lead 30-14, and the Tigers never looked back.

Curtis Thompson led the Tigers in scoring with 30 points, Preston West scored 24, Beau Napier had 20, Lucas Hilton had four and Dirk Crater had two.

Crothersville improved to 6-9 on the season and will play at South Decatur on Tuesday night.

Cougars fall at Austin

The Trinity Lutheran boys basketball team went on the road Saturday to Austin, and the Eagles came out on top 70-45.

Jack Stuckwisch led the Cougars with 11 points, Levi Pottschmidt had eight, Peyton Pollert seven, Kole Shewmaker six, Eli Ballard six, Kowan Gross five and Luke Coomler two.

Trinity is now 5-12 this season and will next play on Thursday night at home against Christian Academy.

Medora drops road game

The Medora boys basketball team suffered a close 56-47 loss at home on Saturday to Pleasant View Christian.

Braxton McCory led the Hornets in scoring with 13 points, Jaxon Nugen scored 11, Shepard Earl had nine, Damian Salas six, Hudson Johnson four, Eli Sturgill two and Kade Wright two.

Medora is now 5-11 this season and will be back home on Saturday for a night game against Madison Christian.
