The Trinity Lutheran girls basketball team will be going for its fourth straight sectional title tonight after the Cougars defeated Crothersville 67-8 on Friday night at Rising Sun High School.

Trinity got contributions from a lot of its team on Friday.

Liza Froedge led the way with 14 points, Laura Roeder scored 13, Bailey Tabeling had 10, Maddie Adams had 10, Jordan Brewer nine, Morgan Brewer four, Marci Leinart three, Madison Keith two and Dianna Munoz two.

Hali Burton led the Tigers with six points on the night, and Kendall Berry scored the other two. Morgan Womack had six rebounds for Crothersville as well.

Crothersville finished the season with just six players, and then when Hayden Pilgrim went down, the Tigers only had five eligible players with Burton, Berry, Womack, Matty Deaton and Ally Mendoza.

Head coach Kevin Hensley was proud that his team opted to finish out the year, and he expects them to be better next season after gaining this experience.

Trinity will now play the winner of New Washington and Rising Sun in the sectional championship tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Cougars beat Rising Sun 62-39 on Dec. 17 this season and also defeated New Washington 60-26 on Dec. 22.
