Louise Tolliver, 93, of Salem, passed away January 19, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on October 30, 1929, to the late Garfield and Dona Turner Nolan. She married the love of her life, the late, Emanuel Tolliver April 15, 1950, in Oolitic, Indiana.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Charles) Reinbold, Glena (Rex) Engleking, Anita (Herschel) Zahnd, and John (Tammie Wease) Tolliver; five grandchildren, Benjamin (Kara) Engleking, Brandon (Brittany) Reinbold, Rexanna (Scott) Tatlock, Herschel (Mary Ellen) Zahnd III, Emmanuel (Janelle) Ingram; her great grandchildren, Brayden Engleking, Kody Engleking, Kiersten Engleking, Laramie Ingram, Ethan Tatlock, Ava Grace Reinbold, Olivia Reinbold, Kyler Neidig, and Cayden Neidig; and her sister, Edna Jean (Nolan) Howard.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Tolliver; her parents; her siblings, Marie (Nolan) Cooper, Alice (Nolan) Miracle, Cora Lee (Nolan) Tolliver, Flora Mae (Nolan) Huckleberry, Turner Nolan, and Delores Nolan.

Louise was a member of the Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years, Sunday School secretary/treasurer, youth leader, camp counselor, director of the Christmas programs, and many more. She taught school in Kentucky and was a substitute teacher in a one room schoolhouse, Monroe School, Washington Co, IN. She also worked at Smiths Cabinet factory in Salem, IN, Shirt Factory in Seymour, IN, and Dura Factory in Brownstown, IN.

A visitation will be held at Voss &Sons Funeral Service, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN 47274, on Monday January 23, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm. Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday January 24, 2023, at 11am. Burial will follow service at Riverview Cemetery.

Family request memorial contributions be made to Riley’s Children’s Hospital, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
