SEYMOUR

Dave Correll lost the love of his life, Jeri on January 16, 2023, to pancreatic cancer. Jeri was born and resided briefly in San Antonio, Texas. She was the older sister of Mary Jo (Couden) Hetrick and the daughter of Joseph and Mary Phyllis (Clark) Couden of Noblesville, IN. Jeri graduated from Noblesville High School in 1963. She was the mother of Scott Correll, Curt and Jeanne Correll, and Matt and Roxana Correll. She was known affectionately as “Nana” to her four granddaughters: Madeleine, Marlee, Maggie and McKinley Correll.

Jeri spent most of her life in Seymour, Indiana, where she worked as a hairdresser for 45 years. She was always passionate about giving back to her Jackson County community and used her time to support an incredibly diverse variety of causes. She was a founding member of Community Concerts, the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts, and the Jackson County Humane Society. She started the Seymour youth soccer program in the early 80’s and the Seymour Owls Basketball Fan Club in 1987.

Jeri had a passion for travel, the outdoors, and her beloved family and friends. She was perhaps best known for her love of animals, especially her Yorkies. Her hobbies included supporting her boys and granddaughters on the field, court, or stage, going on drives with Dave and “the girls” around the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, and entertaining her family and friends at backyard pool parties.

An open house style memorial service will be on Sunday, January 22nd, at the Knights of Columbus in Seymour located at 118 East 2nd Street from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
