Rodney Dale Wilson, age 60, a native of Seymour, Indiana and a resident of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his residence. He was born on February 22, 1962 to Arnold D. Wilson of Seymour, Indiana and Phebe (Schnepf) Roberts of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a member of First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Rod was bigger than life. He was loving, caring and a people person that loved to be in the center of the action. He enjoyed, buying and selling and travelling. His adventures have taken him to England, Mexico, Holland, Amsterdam and as a contestant on the Price Is Right he won a trip Belize. He was a salesman for Fiesta Dinnerware and was known as the “Fiesta King”. He was a very giving man that was community driven and would help anyone that needed him.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.

He is survived by his parents, one brother, Kyle Blake Wilson of Los Angeles, California, five sisters, Jodi Pitcock and her husband Ron of Greenwood, Indiana, Debra Baker and her husband Darrell of Brownstown, Indiana, Cathy Wehrle and her husband Dean of Greenfield, Indiana, Terri Klinger and her husband Jim of Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania and Jennifer Jorgenson and her husband Simon of Burlington, Vermont.

He is also survived by his best friend and partner in crime of over 27 years, Kelly Bolte of Seymour, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his step mother, Cheryl (Hall) Wilson, step father, Bernie Roberts, paternal grandparents, Jason and Ina (Wade) Wilson and maternal grandparents, Herman Schnepf and his wife Dorothy.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 11:00 am until 2:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home in Seymour, Indiana with services beginning at 2:00 PM. Pastor Matthew Craig will officiate.
