Kory D. Wait, son of David and Lori Wait of Seymour, was awarded a doctorate in civil engineering during December graduation ceremonies at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Wait, who graduated from Seymour High School in 2011, received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Purdue University in 2015 and a Master of Science in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech in 2019.
He currently is an ORISE fellow at the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., working on a team reviewing the agency’s Lead and Copper Rule in regard to drinking water.
