Medora drops road game

The Medora boys basketball team went on the road to Christian Academy on Monday night, but unfortunately for the Hornets, the couldn’t come away with the win.

CAI was able to win the game 63-20.

Braxton McCory scored six points for the Hornets, Hudson Johnson had five, Kade Wright had four, Jaxon Nugen and Eli Sturgill both had two, and Eli Lane scored one.

Medora was without one of their leading scorers in Shepard Earl on Monday night.

With the loss, the Hornets drop to 2-3 this season. Medora won’t play again until the New Year when it plays at Columbus Christian on Jan. 3.

Girls basketball

Hornets fall at Warriors

The Medora girls basketball team suffered a 52-16 loss at Christian Academy on Monday night.

Scoring for the Hornets was Jenna Bowers with nine points, Aaralyn Hackney scored five and Heavenlee Brown scored two.

Leah Stevens led the Warriors in scoring with a game-high 23 points.

Medora drops to 2-6 this season and will be on the road again tonight. The Hornets will visit Rock Creek Academy (10-2) for a 6 p.m. varsity tip.
