All Seasons Garden Club celebrates Christmas

The All Seasons Garden Club members celebrated Christmas on Dec. 5 at the home of Julie Whitlow.

Whitlow, along with Jean Barkman, Charlotte Foster, Rita Wischmeier and Becky Hackman, hosted the 17 members and two guests with a happy hour before serving a catered dinner. Hackman read scripture from Luke 2, the birth of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

At each place setting was a snowman made and decorated from vintage salt shakers by Foster for each attending to take home and enjoy. After dinner, the guests had fun with Dirty Santa as the gifts were opened.

A short business meeting was held as this is the last meeting until March 2023. Sandy Koevener distributed the new program books, and a thank-you was read from member Darlene Groseclose for the memorial given for her late husband. A monetary gift was made to HOPE Medora Goes Pink.

Door prizes were won by Jana Thompson and Kathy Cunningham.

At the end of the evening, outgoing president Barkman presented a poinsettia to her committee and to Linda Kamman, the incoming president. Everyone then visited and wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
