Marian Ruth Pardieck, 92, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Autumn Trace Assisted Living Community in Seymour, IN during the evening of December 6th, 2022.

Known to family and friends by her middle name, Ruth was born on July 4th, 1930 at her multi-generational 56-acre family farm in “Pleasant Grove” just outside of Brownstown, IN. She was one of six children born to Guy and Nellie McNiece and is survived by one sister, Florence McNiece, a retired FBI employee residing in Indianapolis, IN with whom she remained close through the end of her life.

Ruth was proudly married to Ralph Pardieck on Aug 23rd, 1953 for a fruitful marriage of over 60 years. Her husband preceded her with his passing in 2017 in Seymour, IN, where he was born, raised, and lived his entire life. Ruth and Ralph were the parents of two sons, Gregory Dierk and Ken Bradley (Rhonda) Pardieck and grandmother of three: Marcie Celeste (Brian Aynes), JD, Seth Brandon (Emily), and Zachary Pardieck, MD. She was also the great-grandmother of Beckham Marcus Aynes, son of Marcie Celeste. Gregory, Bradley, Marcie, and Brandon continue to reside in Seymour, IN. Zachary, born in Seymour, IN, currently resides in Chicago, IL.

Ruth Pardieck was baptized as a Christian in The Methodist Church, the denomination of her parents. She later converted to become a member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod after her marriage, remaining a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, IN for over 65 years. She was able to share final Communion together with her two sons and the Rev. Dr. Ralph Blomenberg the day prior to her passing.

Ruth graduated from Brownstown High School as Valedictorian of her class, going on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Indiana University Bloomington in only three and a half years. She later continued her education, earning her Master of Science in Education degree from Indiana State University.

Ruth was a proud schoolteacher for over 35 years, primarily teaching kindergarten and fifth grade students, with most of her teaching years spent at Redding Elementary in Seymour, IN where she educated hundreds of students during her career. Many of those years were spent teaching alongside her best friend Carmen Toerne, with whom she remained close through the end of her life.

Ruth and Ralph Pardieck together built, owned, and self-operated a 765-lot manufactured housing community, The Village Green, for over 50 years, which continues in operation in Seymour, IN to this day.

Ruth was laid to rest following a private memorial service held at Burkholder Funeral Chapel on December 12th, 2022 presided by the Rev. Blomenberg of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Seymour, IN. The pallbearers of her memorial service included: David Joe Rorig, Jerry Johnson, CPA, Marcus Rust, Michael Bobb, William McNiece, MD, and Zachary Pardieck, MD.

The family of Ruth Pardieck wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers of Autumn Trace Assisted Living Community who cared for her in her final years and the SouthernCare Hospice providers who helped her passing to be peaceful in her final days. The family also wishes to express its deep thanks to the Rev. Blomenberg for his counsel and support, Mr. Paul Scheiderer for his musical contribution to her memorial service, and for all the family and friends attending her private funeral ceremony held this past week. They also truly appreciate all the well-wishes of friends and family near-and-far in this difficult time.
