The Immanuel Lutheran Church Foundation and board of human care recently made a $7,500 contribution toward the Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry’s capital campaign.

Anchor House’s capital campaign goal is to pay for the building and its operations at the new location.

Pastor Jimmy Rodriguez said one of the goals of the church’s board of human care this year was to support the work of Anchor House both financially and with tangible goods. Earlier in the month, Immanuel Lutheran School participated, along with other churches and schools in the area, to provide food and other items for Thanksgiving baskets that were delivered to families in need around Seymour.

Founded in 1870, Immanuel Lutheran Church is joined in partnership with more than 6,000 congregations and nearly 2.6 million persons in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, an international church body. With the Lord’s blessing and through the work of its members, Immanuel Lutheran has grown from a handful of faithful Christians to a body of more than 3,000 members.
