The 77th annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $1,875 on Tuesday thanks to recent donations totaling $800.

Those donations are:

Merry Christmas, $100, Freeman Field Flying Association

In memory of Ron Runge, Bob Runge, Lillie and Roy Runge, $75

In memory of Pete Elsner, Sue Warinner, Ruth and Ambrose Elsner, $75

In loving memory of Ferrell “Buck” Jones and Jerry Wheeler, $50, from David and Sharon Arthur

Merry Christmas, $500, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 655 of Seymour

Requests for assistance will be accepted through Dec. 15. To receive a gift card, people must live in Jackson County and submit a letter stating their need for assistance. Requests should be mailed to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274.

Donations may be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any JCBank branch.

Donors may contribute anonymously if they choose or may dedicate their donations in memory or in honor of others.
