A couple of upcoming events will benefit the Humane Society of Jackson County.

The annual Bring Christmas to the Animals open house is from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Humane Society, 1109 G Ave. West, Seymour.

Donations may be dropped off during that time. The shelter’s wish list includes Purina dog, puppy, cat and kitten food, bleach, paper towels, dog biscuits, moist dog treats (Pupperoni, etc.), Nylabones (size large), Kong toys, liquid detergent, cat litter (not scoopable), garbage bags, Febreze air spray, gas cards, medium-sized dog collars and new throw blankets. Cash donations are always appreciated, too.

Then the Humane Society’s annual pet photos with Santa event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 17 at Paws-N-Klaws Pet Parlor, 631 W. Second St., Seymour.

A photographer will be on hand to take pictures for $20.
