Wildlife food plot seed available to order

The Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District is now offering wildlife food plot seed for purchase.

The seed, which contains millet, milo and buckwheat, is to be sown in the ground for the purpose of feeding wildlife.

Each 5-pound bag, which will cover a quarter of an acre, costs $4 plus tax per bag, and payment is needed at the time of the order. The deadline to order is Jan. 6, and a form will need to be signed stating the seed will not be used for birdseed.

To order and sign the form, call 812-358-2367, ext. 3035, email [email protected] or stop by the district office at 1350 Woodside Drive, Brownstown.

Payment can be cash or checks made payable to the district. Someone from the office will contact customers when the seed is available to pick up.
