Lutheran Dartball League: Wegan W, White Creek N top standings after week two

Week 2 of the Lutheran Dartball League is in the books, and since the start of the league in November 1952, there have been 99,104 league games played.

This week, Wegan W and White Creek N have charged out front with records of 5-1.

Last year’s tournament champion, Redeemer S, has had a rough start, going just 1-5. On Monday, the Pastors could muster up two runs on the night, but it was enough to beat Jonesville 2-1 in the first game. Last year’s newest team, Lutheran Lake, only scored three total runs, but again, it was enough to beat Immanuel 1 in the second game 2-1.

After returning to the league for the first time in 15 years, the Dudleytown Mets have started 2-4 but lost a game in Week 1 3-2 in 10 innings and Monday lost a game 7-6 in 12 innings.

Monday’s hottest diamond was at Dudleytown, where Dudleytown N and Brownstown 4 combined for 43 runs with Dudleytown N coming away with two victories.

This upcoming Monday’s action has league leader Wegan W playing Jonesville and White Creek N taking on Hayden United Methodist.
