SEYMOUR

Mary E. Murray, 90, of Seymour and formally of Columbus, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Mrs. Murray was born on August 29, 1932, in Columbus the daughter of Meredith and Margaret Spalding Rothrock. On December 19, 1953, she married Ralph D. Murray.

Mrs. Murray was a homemaker and member of The Point in Seymour.

Survivors include her children, Ralph D. Murray Jr of Seymour, Terri (Eddie) Anderson of Seymour, Peggy (Steve) Perkins of Columbus, Becky (Mark) Hardy of North Vernon; grandchildren, Jenni McFarlin, Kathe McIntosh, Malcom Swim, Joe Anderson, Kelly Lunsford, Rob Perkins, Jason Perkins, Jenny Waltz, and Justin Perkins; 27 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Elmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph D. Murray Sr on September 3, 2018; son, James Meredith Settle; brothers, Harry Rothrock and Meredith Rothrock Jr; and two granddaughters, Mary Swim Simmons and Theresa Darst.

The funeral will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Stephen Barrett officiating.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. till time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
