The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department is presenting a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 at Shields Park, 600 N. Broadway St., Seymour.

The event will include entertainment, activities, games and a food truck.

The purpose of the event is to celebrate the Hispanic culture in the community. Hispanic Heritage Month began Sept. 15 and runs through Oct. 15.
