The Seymour Community School Corp. board of education will have a public hearing on the 2023 school budget at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the administration office, 1420 Corporate Way, Seymour.

Business Manager Steve Nauman will review the 2023 bus replacement and capital projects plans, and the public can share comments. He then will give notice of the proposed school budget adoption during the board’s next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 11.

After the public hearing, there will be a 1028 hearing with Superintendent Brandon Harpe sharing a statement of purpose for a project, Lisa Ferguson giving the educational need, Talmadge Reasoner providing an overview and Nauman sharing the financial impact. Then the public can comment before the board considers approval of a resolution, a preliminary determination resolution and a reimbursement resolution for the project.
