Nicholas S Carava III, 76, of Seymour, Indiana passed away on April 21, 2022, at home with his loving family and canine family member by his side. In 1946, he was born to the late Nicholas S Carava Jr and Grace (Canale) Carava in Chicago, Illinois. On July 17, 1971, he married the love of his life, Kathryn (Morgan) Carava.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, with Father Arthur Howard, officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Veteran Hospital, or the local Humane Society. Nick was employed at several different companies throughout his career. They include Edgewater Group Investments, Sand Kastle Builders, LLC, Management Consulting Services, Meredith &Kamp, INC, National Steel Corporation (1977-2001), Ernest &Young, and the United States Army as a non-commissioned Officer-In-Charge. He received an Executive MBA from University of Norte Dame and a BBA from Western Michigan University. Nick was an enthusiastic Norte Dame, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. In his youth, he spent many summer days riding his bicycle to Lake Michigan to swim and climb the dunes. He was an avid bird hunter and a nationally ranked Cowboy Action Shooter. The love he had for his four-legged family members was something very special as well. There were many interests Nick had in his life. He loved boating, fishing, and entertaining on Paw Paw Lake in Southwest Michigan. He was a car enthusiast that also enjoyed motor homing and tailgate parties. There was also a yearly trip to Deer Camp that he always looked forward to attending with his best buddies.

Nicholas is survived by his wife; Kathryn Carava; his sisters; Angelina (Ted) Tucker, Frances Carava, and his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nephews and nieces and many beloved Godchildren. He will be missed by countless family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Nicholas S Carava Jr and Grace Carava, and many aunts and uncles.
