Wednesday’s Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament tennis match between Seymour and Jennings County was stopped by lightning and rain with the Owls holding a 1-0 lead.
Reuben Kruse defeated Isaac Lightner 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles before lighting showed up in the area.
Players at the other four positions were forced off the Seymour courts because of lightning. The match will resume at 4:45 p.m. today.
Seymour’s scheduled match with Brownstown Central today is postponed.
The winner of the Seymour-Jennings match will play the winner of the Floyd Central-Jeffersonville match Friday at Floyd Central for first place in the HHC tournament.
