Ivy Tech Community College Columbus will host a free community event that includes food trucks, a silent auction, games for kids and more from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

The event, called the Big Green Smash, will be at the campus, 4475 Central Ave., Columbus. It is hosted by the college’s Student Government Association.

The event is open to all community members and students of the college. A silent auction also is planned to raise money for Ivy Tech’s Student Emergency Relief Fund, which helps students with transportation, food security, mental health services, technology access and child care.

The new main campus building, Moravec Hall, also will be available to view during the event.
